Hello Barbara,
I appreciate you taking the time to write me. I’ve always preferred my given name of
“Robert.”
Texarkana is only about 250 miles from Greenville, Texas, where most of my six sons live.
I am optimistic that it is going to be another quote too big to be stolen” election for Trump. It
will be great if the two other “J6-ers”, Tom and Alex, and I are able to walk out of this prison on
January 21 (I figure it will take a day for the BOP to process the pardons).
Did you draw the caricature of you and Wolfie? I like it! I feel like I can see who you are in it.
I’ve included two of the J 6 drawings. I’ve done since coming to prison on June 13, 2023. I am
sorry I couldn’t send color copies, but we inmates don’t have access to one.
I didn’t realize there was another town (city) Des Moines outside of Iowa. I’ve only been to
Washington state twice in my life – in 1973, before driving the Al – can highway to Fort Greeley,
Alaska, and in 1975 on the return trip to the quote lower 48.”
My dad was in the army for 21 years, so I got to travel and live all over the US and in
Germany for the first 17 years of my life.
Never in my wildest imagination did I ever believe I would one day go to prison. Right up to
the point at my trial, when the judge says.…“the evidence clearly shows…” I just knew I was
going to be acquitted. I was stunned when the judge ruled “guilty”— I mean, what trial did he
just watch!!?
Thankfully, my testimony of heavenly father‘s love for me, was strong before January 6, and
it continued to grow stronger during the course of the trial. But, it wasn’t until I came to prison
that am I understanding of God‘s love for me, fully manifested itself to my spirit. That
knowledge has been my saving grace as my daily scripture reading brings clarity to my mind
and peace to my heart. Only the “refiners fire” can mold me into the best version of who Robert
Wayne Dennis can be.
I’m so grateful for his love for me. The blessings He bestows on me while in prison are many.
I hold my head up high and have a spring in my step when I walk these prison halls.
I needed to come to prison. Only in prison could I have fully comprehended just how much
worse our corrupt government truly is. I’m telling you right now that there are way too many
people in federal prison who shouldn’t be here. The amount of entrapment convictions are
staggering. The number of people in here for thought crimes is ridiculous. There are people in
here because regulations that made them criminals. This year were completely legal the year
before.
This knowledge has served to strengthen my resolve.
Additionally, if I hadn’t come to prison, I likely wouldn’t have jumpstarted my art career
again. I’ve been restoring art for two decades now, so I haven’t had the time or energy, to work
on my own art. And people in here seem to genuinely like it.
I’ve joined a gospel band singing the bass harmonies – there is NO WAY I would have ever
sang even karaoke before coming to prison!
I have a workout routine that really works for me, and I feel stronger overall than before I
came to prison, and people are constantly telling me that I look 10 years younger than my 64
years.
Most importantly, I have the love and support of my family and friends.
God is so good to me. This is just a different path than I thought I would walk, but God and
my savior and loving Brother, Jesus are walking the path with me.
I won’t be in here too much longer, and then one day I’ll look back at this time as just
another adventure in my life.
May God bless you, Barbara
Sincerely,
Robert Dennis
