Dearest Barbara, August 22nd 2024
How is Wolfie? I got the pictures of you and that little dog is just the cutest. This week I had the graduation from Faith Based Conflict Management and at the beginning of the month the formal graduation for the horticulture program. We got to eat some watermelon that we grew and some real bbq’d cheeseburgers. Very nice. Lately the weather has been blah.

It is hurricane season and Debby saw us locked down. I was very happy to see Ernesto blow out into the Atlantic and grace us with some dry weather.

Barbara! You cutie, you! That J6 support shirt you’re wearing in the photo is so good! Holly had her birthday party this past weekend. It was a My Little Pony theme with a piñata. I got her a Ken doll, and she was excited for her ‘boy’ doll to ask Barbie on a date. In my appeal the government has said they will not oppose a remand for resentencing. We are seeing if we do that ahead of a full appeal of other convictions if we preserve our ability to appeal later. Either way nothing happens before about February.

Yes, the assassination attempt was pretty traumatizing. When it happened and men started yelling in the TV room all I could do was offer a prayer and keep sewing a wallet on my bunk. This week is the DNC and I am hoping the next debate is as devastating for the Dem ticket as the last one was. RFK Jr. is looking like he’ll have dropped out b the time you’re reading this. A cabinet job in the Trump administration? Don Jr. suggested CIA director… Ha! Can you imagine that?! That’d be pretty good.

Barbara, please keep me in your prayers. Lately there has been extra ugly treatment from the staff here — definitely due to my charges and support of Trump. I can’t even formally complain, they’ve circled the wagons so tight around one another! So, please just asking for that hedge of protection, I could really use it.

In the leather shop I’ve started playing with ‘tooling’ leather and using it to do figure carving l kind of like sculpting or drawing on the leather. Look up the work of Al,Stohlman for an idea of what I’m putting out. Barbara, I really do want this all to be over and November can’t come soon enough. How are things with you? Did the vet ever get to the bottom of what Wolfie is sick from? Wishing you well and that things are tame on your side of the country.
