LETTERS FROM PRISON: JAMES MCGREW 12-1-23

Mr Rivers,

I’m Back!!! By now I’m sure you heard. I was in the SHU(hole) for 2 months. Some things just cant be avoided as guys (me) go thru this process of what I call prison acclimation. I’m still doing good and staying focused on working towards release. Let everyone know I miss them and also Thank everyone for me for all their continued support. I do not say those words lightly. I say them with a Full Heart.

I received your recent commissary deposit. Thank you very much. If you could send me an update on Bart and Jeff and let them know I was asking about them. I get updates on most of the other guys and how there doing. It warms my heart to hear the are doing good.

Moms still In the fight as are so many of our family members. She is keeping busy all while trying to keep up with home maintaince. I wish more then anything to be there helping her with these things, soon soon.

I’m still fighting to get into the RDAP program, of course as most guys know these programs are full at all facilities and it takes an act of congress to get in. I’m also trying to get my PATTERN score below 41 which, I’m almost there. That will get me the year off for First Step Act. I’m doing all the programs I can to achieve this goal as soon as they are offered, but like everything else in the BOP. Slow Slow.

I’m staying Strong in my Faith and even in my Struggles, giving God all the Praise. He has Blessed me with a Heart full of Hope, Love, and Grace. Tell everyone I said God Bless them and God Save America.
