On January 9, 2023 in person visitation was finally granted for the January 6th detainees held inside the DC DOC with the help of Representative Troy Nehls and the general public. On February 2, 2023, The Real J6 launched Operation Love Wins. This is a campaign to raise funds and collect travel rewards to help these individuals see their loved ones at no cost to them. As of right now, in person visitation is the only option as they are still waiting for the facility to establish video visits. Our goal with Operation Love Wins is to get each detainee’s loved ones there to see them in person at least once.

The founder of the The Real J6, Shane Jenkins, son Peyton said, “It is hard to put into words the feelings that I have knowing that my siblings and I can finally see my dad in person again. To know that I will be able to give him a long over-due hug makes me emotional. I am so proud to call him my dad. You have done more for him than I could’ve ever imagined. In the middle of this nightmare, thank you for making this dream a reality.”

Thank you in advance for helping these families be reunited again. Remember in the end, love wins.
