James Rahm of Philadelphia was arrested on 2/5/21. He was found guilty 10/13/22 at bench trial in which both sides agreed to a set of stipulated facts.
Charges included the typical misdemeanor charges that have been leveled against most J6 defendants. The 1512(c)(2) felony charge has often been added to defendants later after their first indictment. We suspect that this specific charge which technically does not apply to any J6er since none of them shredded documents. This charge was the result of the DOJ seeking for several weeks a way to apply the maximum pain to J6 defendants and possibly to coerce them into plea to lesser their charges, giving the prosecution a win. The reason for the prosecution to seek plea agreements is probably in order to be able to say later: “this number of people plead guilty and therefore it demonstrates that President Trump incited an insurrection.” We believe that J6ers are being used against President Trump to solidify the coup d’état that was initiated on election day.
We do not have any more information about James Rahm. He does not seem to be incarcerated yet or has already served his sentence.
James Charges were:
- obstruction of an official proceeding 1512(c)(2)
- entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds,
- disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds,
- disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and
- parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.
