Writing a letter or a card does not take much time. These men need the support. It means a lot to them. Imagine a day in a jail – it is going very slow – they can’t wait the mail call – they read your letters like it is a breath of fresh air in a dreary cell! Tell them they are not forgotten.
Please ensure you visit the prison’s official website to familiarize yourself with the mail regulations. Keep in mind that specific facilities may have restrictions on certain items, such as not accepting cards or only allowing paper with writing on one side. We have found that sending photocopies of cards has been very effective. If you have access to a printer with a scanner, it will be highly beneficial. We’ve even successfully sent letters containing multiple pages and photos without any issues.
